Community Programs

"Change wounds the principle of constancy."
- E. Edinger

ICC programs revolve around groups that connect, contribute, create and collaborate with the affirmative purpose of bringing about positive individual and collective change.

The processes of conscious and unconscious evolution are continuously influencing all forms of life, matter and thought.

The Institute for Cultural Change seeks to offer a diverse range of programs that explore these infinite processes.

Continuing Education Credits (CEU's) are offered for all of our programs.

ICC Educational Program Areas

Community Education:

  • Retreats
ICC retreats are specialized 2-5 day events. They tend to be small, intimate and focus on a specific topic or field of study. Participants have the ability to dive deeper into the material and explore in a one-on-one manner with the instructor.

  • Writer’s Retreats
As part of our continuous writer's program, we will be offering selected Writer's Retreats several times a year and ongoing monthly Writer's One-day Workshops throughout the year.

  • The Health Care Practitioner’s Toolkit
This is a series of retreats/workshops geared toward the health care practitioner’s continuing education.

  • Annual Thiasos: Community Gathering
ICC annual gatherings are unique, highly informative, dynamic exchange of ideas. We will host a "community gathering" each year that will bring together scholarship, art and the experiential.

In ancient Greece, the word, Thiasos, was used to denote a band of followers of the God, Dionysos. It could also mean "a banquet" or "a group of celebrants". For us, Thiasos means "a community in which soul is given first place". We have chosen this title for our annual gatherings with the intent to keep the spirit and manner of study alive that our friends, colleagues and mentors have laid before us. Their philosophic and academic foundations allow us to further the many rich ideas of mythology, depth and archetypal psychology, and the humanities.

Virtual Education:
  • Myth & Culture
    Webcast Series

  • Online Education
This curriculum will explore topics across diverse fields of mythology, psychology, art & literature and business that will endeavor to deepen our understanding of ourselves widen perspectives and help us to re-imagine culture. These are noncredit course taught by professionals in various fields.
Please contact ICC if you are interested in utilizing your skills, talents, and experience as a Distance Learning Instructor.

Resource Center
The ICC Resource Center is a wide-ranging collection of audio and video downloads, archives, articles, films and books. The Resource Center is a supplemental educational area of our website.

"Learning need not be a betrayal of liveliness. To bring about true learning through perennial teachings embodying soul, we have thought to drink deep of the wine of Divine Imagination; the same wine that made the secret societies of the Italian Renaissance drunk with visions of supreme beauty, eloquent with new language and inspired with the reawakening of lost connections of nature and myth." - Noel Cobb.
